Pattaya’s Holi Festival 2024 a Major Success
On March 23, 2024, Pattaya Mayor Mr. Poramese Ngampiches inaugurated the vibrant Holi Festival Pattaya 2024. This annual event, celebrating the camaraderie of the Indian and Thai Sikh communities, was held at the central beachfront of Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
Holi Festival, marking the end of the year, is a joyous occasion rooted in Hindu tradition. Celebrated over two days in March (on the first waning moon of the fourth lunar month), it’s a time when people gather to throw colorful powders at each other, symbolizing friendship and joy.
Revellers join the Hindu festival of Holi, or the Festival of Colours, where they throw coloured water and powder on one another. The event,
organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Association Thailand, took place at Arya Samaj Bangkok in Sathon district on March 24, 2024.
