LIVE: Thousands Witness Royal Barge Procession Along Chao Phraya River

King Maha Vajiralongkorn leads the Royal Barge Procession, a ceremonial event that showcases the vibrant traditions of the Thai monarchy. A magnificent fleet of 52 beautifully adorned barges will sail along the Chao Phraya River, powered by oarsmen selected from the Royal Thai Navy as they navigate between two notable piers. This procession is a significant aspect of Thailand's cultural heritage, with roots tracing back to the Sukhothai period and continuing through the Ayutthaya, Thonburi, and Rattanakosin eras to the present day.
