Critically injured biker saved by passer-by
A motorcyclist almost became another road fatality when his motorbike slammed into the back of a passenger van on Rama 9 Road, Bangkok, on Monday evening. The biker's throat was cut and he was bleeding profusely. A stranger drove by and stopped to save him on time.
The rescue was filmed by a bystander and the 35-second video was widely circulated on social media. Netizens praised the stranger, calling her an "Angel on Earth" and a "Kind-hearted Priestess".
Video poster Yingyot Srinakarn said the motorbike crahsed into the back of the van. The motorcyclist's throat was cut by a broken shard of glass from the van's window and was bleeding heavily.
"If the woman didn't stop by to help him, the man would not likely survive. The woman injured her knee as she was kneeling on the road scattered with broken glass. She was very nice," wrote Yingyot.
Netizens later found out that the woman was Praewa Mitrakul, a medical instructor from Mahidol University.
