On Friday, the department announced that Surin, Kalasin, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Phitsanulok, Ayutthaya and Angthong were under water.
As of press time yesterday, floods were also ravaging Buri Ram, Prachin Buri, Ranong, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima, Sa Kaew and Pathum Thani.

Cut-off residents call for sluice gates to open
The flooding enraged local residents who have complained it is being caused by sluice gates remaining shut to protect areas downstream.
The villagers Thursday blockaded a road in Kabin Buri municipality, calling on authorities to deal with the problem.
They have threatened to dig up a road along the irrigation waterway in tambon Wandan to discharge the floodwater from the area.

Dam in Khon Kaen to release water
Published: 27 Sep 2013 at 13.16
Online news: Local News
.
Ubonrat Dam in Khon Kaen will begin discharging about seven million cubic metres of water per day to keep the level in the reservoir below capacity, and people living downstream are being warned of sudden flooding.
Deputy provincial governor Songpol Champaphan said on Friday that Ubonrat dam currently holds 1.09 billion cubic metres of water, or about 60% of its capacity.
"About 27 million cubic metres of water are coming into the dam each day and this volume is higher than the safety level.
"It is necessary to discharge about seven million cubic metres of water in preparation for more heavy rain to come," Mr Songpol said.
People in some areas of Muang and Nam Pong districts were likely to experience flooding, he said.
The Meteorological Centre in the Northeast reports that about 10% of the region is getting rain and 60% of Khon Kaen could expect more rain, especially in early October, he added.
